What we are looking for
We’re seeking an exceptional Linguistic Operations Specialist with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence to lead our linguistic projects.
As the Linguistic Operations Specialist, your main responsibilities will include taking in orders, preparing instructions for specific linguistic tasks, assigning tasks, and overseeing a team of more than 200 freelance linguists.
Your primary role is to ensure that all texts produced by the linguists meet the formal requirements specified in the brief. In essence, you will be the “binder” that holds our linguistic projects together.
What tasks might come up?
- Communicating with clients regarding orders via email and telephone to answer any questions they may have about our services or their project;
- Preparing task instructions to our linguists;
- Assigning and re-assigning tasks to our linguists;
- Answering to linguist questions via email;
- Text Quality assurance – making sure texts prepared by our linguists are in line with clients requirements;
- Onboarding new linguists (copywriters, editors, proofreaders, translators).
- Other business development tasks.
We Expect You To
- Be fluent in English, with a native-level speaking and writing ability, and be confident in discussing complex projects and business matters with international clients
- Have a background in content marketing or copywriting, and previous experience working with texts and languages
- Be a detail-oriented perfectionist who easily picks up inconsistencies
- Be a good multi-tasker who can work on various tasks simultaneously without losing focus
- Have experience with performing quality checks on texts
- Be a natural leader who can organize others
- Have outstanding computer skills
- Have an excellent problem-solving ability
- Be systems-oriented and able to create structure and processes where others may only see chaos
- Be a highly motivated self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team
What does the hiring process look like?
- We will review your application against our job requirements;
- Once you are selected – you will be contacted by the Talent Acquisition Manager by email and will receive a Linguistic Operations test;
- If you pass the test, you will then move to a 3-interview process;
- After the 3 interview a decision about your hiring is made.
